Tori is in the nursing program at Northwestern, an institution she was drawn to “for its pursuit for academic excellence by wanting to promote redemption and restoration through the love of Christ.” But without Pell Grants and other financial aid, “my time here at Northwestern would not have been the same,” Tori added. “I can have more peace of mind financially as I continue my academic journey. Thanks to the grant I am able to put more time and effort into my studies, classes, and relationships rather than stressing about how to afford higher education.”

#DoublePell would be of great additional assistance to her and many other students, Tori says. It would “not only bless the recipients, but also provide more freedom and flexibility to the students. With the financial support they will be able to devote their time, energy, and passions into things that can help strengthen the community and institution around them.”
